The founder, Mr John Dick Snr established the business in 1999, having been a scaffolder for over 20 years off-shore. His son Mr John Dick Jnr came on board at this time and has been an integral part of the business for the past 19 years.

JD Scaffolding Ltd remains a family owned and run business. This enables us to plan for the long term rather than be driven by short term market demands, resulting in a steady growth and expansion of both our scope of operations and the geographical area in which we now provide our services.

Primarily the company operates as a traditional scaffolding contractor. However, what sets us apart is our ability to act quickly and creatively to solve access needs in an environment requiring dynamic adaptability, with a personal approach and attention to detail.

It doesn’t matter how many mission statements or visions a management team produces – if the scaffolders aren’t capable, or simply don’t care, they will never provide a reliable high quality service.

JD Scaffolding is unique in that it uses only directly employed, fully trained employees. The vast majority of our competition relies either entirely or substantially on a sub contract work force that will quite simply move on as soon as a better offer appears.

JD Scaffolding has a highly qualified work force and excellent training program with scaffolders trained in PTS, SSSTS, Advance Scaffold Inspection….the list goes on…Knowledge and experience of scaffolding is at the forefront of everything we do.
